It is well known that athletes put their bodies through much more physical stress than the normal human being. As a right-handed pitcher for the Washington Nationals, I know very specifically how the body eventually breaks down. When this happens, one is faced with many questions and concerns. The largest being, will I be able to get my body back to the place it was when it was able to perform at the highest level? In my personal case, I was very fortunate to have Liz Wheeler as my physical therapist in charge of my rehab from right elbow surgery. Liz’s knowledge and dedication to getting my elbow back to 100% was key in my efforts to pitch in the big leagues again. With her expertise, I was not only able to feel healthy as I felt before my injurt but actually even better. Her effort, techniques, and intelligence are unmatched, and there is no question with who I will be doing my future physical therapy! – MLB Starting Pitcher, Washington Nationals
