The Launch Sport Performance Nutrition Approach
(One-on-one counseling, group workshops, and team sessions available)
You can’t build a house of bricks with straw. You are what you eat.
What we put into our bodies is equally as important as what we do with our bodies. Knowledge of nutrition goes far beyond counting calories and reading food labels. It includes learning to listen to our bodies to interpret them correctly. Nutrition knowledge must get to a point where the person knows instinctively what to choose, and whether it is a good or bad choice. We’ll help you get there.
Eat real food.
Many of our dietary shortcomings can be linked to excessive intake of processed foods. These foods are high in calories, but low in essential vitamins and minerals. This can lead to a feeling of “toxic hunger”- hunger due to poor nutrient intake despite adequate caloric intake. It’s one of the biggest contributors to overeating and weight gain. We’ll work with you and select the most nutrient dense foods for your lifestyle to improve your health. No magic pills, no fad diets, just real food.
Optimize your workout nutrition.
You have a window of opportunity during and after your workouts that is crucial in preventing muscle breakdown and making the most of your workout efforts. Maximizing this window is paramount to making sure you recover quickly and are ready for your next training session. We’ll create an individualized workout meal and supplement program to help you meet your goals.
Have a healthy relationship with food.
Eating healthy doesn’t have to be hard. Nutritious foods are also tasty! And even if you do “fall off the wagon,” as long as the majority of your diet is clean, it won’t set you back. It’s important to indulge in foods you love and not stress about it after the fact. We’ll help you develop strategies to keep you eating right and preserve your mental sanity in the process.
